The Green Valley Urban Park, an integral part of the extensive urban transformation project in Şahinbey, Turkey’s third-largest district with a population of 817,258 people, presents a seamlessly integrated design where the pond and verdant spaces intertwine. Our contribution encompasses the creation of static projects for observation decks, landscape structures, and pedestrian bridges, all harmonizing with the overall design.

Green Valley Park sets a new standard by offering 12 square meters of green space per person, surpassing Turkey’s average. Spanning an impressive 1 million 700 thousand square meters, it held the title of Turkey’s largest urban park at the time it was carried out. Far beyond a mere assortment of trees and benches, the park boasts the plantation of over 40 thousand quality trees, contributing to the city’s overall air quality.

At the heart of the park lies an expansive 86,500 square meters biological pond, creating a serene focal point. The park further caters to diverse recreational needs with a venue accommodating 8 thousand people for social activities, sports areas including walking and cycling paths, basketball, tennis, and football courts, as well as indoor swimming pools. Thematic parks and various play equipment for children, picnic areas, an amphitheater, and a parking lot add to the urban park’s multifaceted appeal. Crafted as a comprehensive urban space, it meets the diverse needs of the community with cafes, tea gardens, restaurants, prayer rooms, and a mosque, contributing to the well-being of the local people.
