Steel Roof Structure

Operational since 2013, TVF Cengiz Göllü Volleyball Hall, also known as TVF Cengiz Göllü Sports Hall, is a prominent indoor sports facility situated in Bursa’s Nilüfer district. Named in honor of the esteemed former National Team Coach Cengiz Göllü, this facility reflects his nearly six decades of dedicated service to Turkish Volleyball as both a player and coach.

The hall boasts comprehensive amenities, including an indoor parking facility accommodating fifty vehicles, an additional open car park for ten cars, eight athlete locker rooms, two referee locker rooms, and press and protocol stands within the four tribunes. With a capacious design, the hall can host up to 4,440 spectators, creating an electric atmosphere for sporting events.

Our involvement in the project encompassed the static projects and shop drawings of the steel structure. Given the necessity for long spans in sports facilities, the choice of steel as the primary structural material aligns seamlessly with the structural requirements. Beyond its structural prowess, steel ensures sustainable end-of-life options, allowing for potential dismantling and re-use or responsible recycling when the facility is no longer in use.

The integration of 3D models facilitated the generation of comprehensive reports, streamlining the design process. Additionally, seamless data transfer to Tekla Structures played a pivotal role in efficient connection design, optimizing both time and preserving crucial loading and geometry information. The TVF Cengiz Göllü Volleyball Hall stands as a versatile and enduring symbol of modern sports infrastructure in Bursa.
